Re: Help bagging a 94 cadillac deville on 22s

you won't get too much help here - it's just not our thing -

we CAN help put the system back to "normal" -

do a google search for AIR BAG SUSPENSION -
you will find sites for professional air baggers -

http://www.airbagit.com/

http://www.ridetech.com/

http://www.suspensionconnection.com
----------------
nice car - hate the wheels/tires - and also hate the illegal HID headlight kit -

good luck

Keep it out of the gutter, folks. The posted reply on aftermarket headlights, tires and wheels is one man's opinion, and he expressed that in open, public forum. Legal.

Identical question from "Suspension, brakes, ...... ...... " merged with this thread.

I was speaking in jest if my post seemed offensive

A lot of Cadillac owners have the same opinion and I respect everyone's personal preferences.

And as far as the hids or aftermarket headlamps...
The new 2013 Cadillac comes with them... So I dnt think Illegal is the proper term for these aftermarket upgrades... Or downgrades.

Re: Help Bagging my 94 Deville

The "illegal" comes into play when HID capsules are retrofitted into lens/housings that are designed and focused for halogen bulbs. The HID caspsule has a different focal plane from halogen, so in the wrong reflector the light beam is distorted and "splashes" everywhere, including up in the air which leads to oncoming driver sight discomfort.

If the car was not originally offered with a HID option, retrofitting HID capsules into halogen lenses is illegal. (as in the OP's 1994)

This only scratches the surface of the arguments, pro and con .....................

interesting and comprehensive explanation of the situation in that link sub...

i just did a search on my own before reading your link and found the exact same thing (on another site)

they even credit daneil stern ... i like their intro to his article (quoted below)

http://store.candlepower.com/trabhidki.html

Candlepower doesn't sell "HID kits".
We easily could, and we'd make a lot of money doing it,
but we never have and we never will.
That's because they're dangerous and illegal.

I think I have to retract my last statement about HIDs in the new Cadillac

My partner say they're HALO's not HID's

I thought they were the same but he says they're not

So I apologize for my profound ignorance... Shoulda googled it first. Lol

"Halos" aren't a type of bulb. Often seen on BMWs, they're a glass or plastic ring, encircling the projector lens, illuminated by LEDs, or a CCFL ring.
