help!! 88 eldorado codes!!

hello all, i have just purchased an 88 elda and i am having some probs, i have some codes and dont know what they mean?? code b120 is current, the rest are history b121 b127 b420 b441 b448 b450 b552, is there anyone here that could tell me which each of those mean??

I think he means 98 Eldo

None of the codes you list even exist!!! Check your findings and try again. Try writing them down.

B127 = PRND321 Sensor
B420 = Relay Circuits
B441 = Cooling Fan problem
B448 = Low Refrig. pressure
B450 = Coolant Temp high
B552 = Keep Alive Memory error
The DFI BCM diagnostics is VERY complicated and lengthy. If you want I can help but I'd suggest clearing all codes and seeing what comes back. Then concentrate on that.

This is OLD STUFF dude. Cadillac DFI. Any older mechanics will tell you how much fun DFI is. It's kind of a bastard breed all of it's own. The MOST fun used to be working on "commercial chassis" cars with DFI because they DID NOT come with a Fuel Data panel (which was needed to access the codes etc).

I used to own an 82 Eldorado Biarritz with the 4100 Digital Fuel Injection. That was my first experience with a computerized vehicle. To put it briefly...working on that car was a hellish nightmare. Watching me chase down the electrical problems on that car must have been like watching a dog chase its own tail. I finally surrendered and sold it for 400.00 bucks. And I was glad to see it go to tell you the truth.

I have received a code of B122 (current) and cannot find it. Could you tell me what it is? Also, can you tell me where I might find a listing of all the codes? Chilton does not have it.

BCM Code B122 is the Panel Dimming POT circuit problem code.

You probably don't have any dash lighting, other than displays. I have the same code on my 88 Trofeo, and I am trying to figure it out.

I've got the same issue too. DImmer is inop and my Twilight Sentinal short made my starter go to the shitter on me.
