Hello from truck stop.
This post is mostly a travel log for myself.
Its now 9am. We left at midnight. I'm eating sausage from a Flying J breakfast buffet.
This has been, by FAR, the easiest and most comfortable road trip EVER, thanks to good weather and a Chrysler 300M. I only wish the last owner didn't buy these noisy Michelins.
In KC, a bunch of construction almost took me on an alternate route to Denver instead of Iowa. I wouldn't have minded, but my brother figured out how to use the live GPS navigation on the cell phone I just bought, so we're set. My phone supports EVDO (I signed up for the service) but the cables are scarce, so I'm stuck waiting until I get to Washington for the cable I ordered to arrive.
I filled up at a gas station just west of KC that had working pumps but the store was actually closed, and I had to piss. Nothing humbles you like peeing by a dumpster in the middle of the night. Near where I relieved myself were piles of feces from other folks seeking a toilet.
This gas tank is too small. Range is about 300 miles at an average 24mpg. That's all for now.

I agree! We can all hit up Khan's Mongolian Barbecue! And if you get here this weekend, you can enjoy one of the largest pre 1965 car shows in the country....thousands upon thousands of cars anywhere from about 1925 to 1964, mainly cars from the '50s though, all at "Back to the Fifties"!

Its a white 89 like mine but it has that light purplish interior that I like and a 91-93 front end(slight accident damage). I could send you the pics I have of it. Its rough but I could drive it home for $100. 230k with 80k on the trans and the rear isnt sagging. Its sitting in a driveway 5-10 miles from you.
