I think they stopped Dino tuning at 65 million years ago:D. However Dyno tuning is a great option given you have some modifications to make the cost worthwhile. I would suggest a full header back exhuast before a tune.

If you are unsure of how the previous owner cared for it then i recommend flushing and replacing all the fluids (motor oil/ filter, transmission, diff fluid, coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid, PS fluid)

Maybe not everyone fancies themselves experts on the mater. This is probably the third "new v owner" post this week. So many people that look may be just like you and me (had mine almost 9 months and haven't really done much yet). Also the people who do know a lot get tired of answering the same questions over and over and would like you to search for the answers your self more ( I know this from experience). But certainly insulting the community as a whole isn't going to get you far.

P.S. nice v

Your questions were answered. What else do you want? The same answers again?

Ok.

1. No holes in your rotors. 2. Hawk HP+ brake pads for the street. 3. 275/40 is generally the widest tires for the rear on stock rims. 4. I'm pretty sure 20's will fit all around.

Dyno tune after at least headers back.

If you don't know the maintenance history, then replace all fluids and filters (as one should with any used car.)

Happy now?

BlackMamba is excited with his new car and can't understand why we're all not quite as excited as he is. As stated, we're seeing this same thread with it's inherent enthusiasm more frequently lately, and we're all busy with other stuff, and it's hard to respond with patience to everyone every time. The truth is, we ARE excited ... we ARE enthused ... but we are human. Hang in there, BlackMamba. :wisdom:

It's all good.

And at least TRY to search... you can't expect everyone to help you if you cant even help yourself. You asked about a half a dozen questions... take each topic and search it, see what you find... still have questions, then post.

Nearly everyone has an issue with this forum when they first join. I know I did. Think of it from our perspective, we've answered those same questions about 2.7 bazillion times. Generally we like more specific questions and it REALLY helps to say "I did a search and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for." This forum has a bunch of members who know the V inside and out, more than you would ever want to know. Ask the right question and the thread will blow up with responses.

Btw - Welcome to the forum. We do share your enthusiasm for the V.

That's about average, 150 views per response on an average thread. With that same logic I should be angry as hell. 50,500 views on my shifter thread and I've only sold 150ish. Lol

Nice V. For dyno tuning you can check out Newtech in Hayward. He's tuned thousands of Lsx cars and also does installs, etc if you need the help.
Also there's another thread about 20" wheels that I just posted some pictures in. Congrats on the V.

Welcome & congrats! Like they've said, searching will produce more info than you could ever imagine and a rediculous amount of opinions. Learning how to search through google search is the best option. It does sort of suck as the comraderie/shooting the breeze about it is quelled a little given all answers are out there already, but that seems to be the forums bend at this point.

So, let me get this straight... you post a bunch of gibberish that no one understands, yet some are able to answer your FAQs, and less than 24 hours, you flip out because people won't respond different answers that you cant even take the time to search FAQs... and I'm the DB??
