Hey, what's goin on everybody, I found this site through an e-mail I got from a guy from caddyforum.com...so I decided to check it out.

I drive a 78 Coupe De Ville obviously, it's a 2 door, 425ci big block....and that's about it....I'm working on building up my stereo and you can see what I'm doing in my signature.

I'm also thinking of adding an air ride or hydro set -up next year....I don't know what to do yet though.

Anyway just thought I'd drop by and introduce myself....oh BTW this is the first year I've owned a Caddy.

yea actually a little place about 45mins from Toronto called Oshawa....and gas is about 80-85 cents/litre...whatever that is in US dollars I dunno...it's like a buck a gallon or more...I dunno i'm too tired to do the math :)

My Volvo 740's pretty decent on gas though :D

Welcome aboard. I feel your pain with that old boat. The best way to get the BEST mpg in that car is to do a timing chain and gears, and then rebuild the carb. I used to do them on our fleet cars at 100K and not only did it make the car run like new again, it bumped the mpg at least 3-5.

hey thanks man, yea the car's got like 75,000 KM on it since 78', I guess I could try that, although I'm finding it difficult to get parts down here.

Don't feel so bad. Over here its 90 cents a liter, or a dollar for 91 octane.
Thats like $2.70 or $2.80 US a gallon :(

ouch, 90 cents a litre...damn, that hurts.

Got a quick question.....I'm building my stereo in my car and I want to put my amps in the middle of the backrest in the back seat, I don't wan't to cut up he original seat though and the scrap yard doesn't have any 78 de villes...what other year would fit? would an 80 back seat fit?
