How hot are they supposed to get? Mine gets warmish, but not nearly as hot as my fiancee's 03 Explorer. I'm thinking the element is shot. V.

The ones in my Escalade dont get very warm, but thats all of them, they get slightly warm, maybe about as much as a lukewarm bath, not muchhotter.

My guess would be that if they are heating, the element is ok. As to how hot they get, I really don't know as I am new to them but I turn them off as soon as it takes the chill out of them. One reason is I don't like a hot ass (well not mine anyway). Secondly, It seems that there are a lot of problems reported with them and I suspect that overheating them is the cause and I'd like them to last.

Not very hot at all; but, as the
Esteemed and Learned Ranger
pointed out, if there is heat...
then the element is working.
How hot does your ass really
need to be? Personally, I like the
heat on my back, almost therapeutic.
It is just too bad there is no massage
option; but, then again, I would never
get out of the car.

Best Regards,

My finacee has a 2003 Explorer Limited and those seats get hot! Too hot for my liking. Mine just take the cold out of the seat, which is fine. Thanks for all your responses! V.
