Both passenger and driver side Heated seats are not working. I took the car to dealer and they said they needed to keep the truck because they might need to pull the seats out. I find this strange because both seats are not working. Which leads me to think it could just be a fuse issue.

Has anyone experienced this? Or can someone tell me where the fuse is for heated seats?

Do seats really need to come out?

Thanks
Andre

This question is probably better asked in Escalade. Moved to the propr year Escalade forum...........

You might want to update your profile with your car, year, mileage and maybe your approximate location - it all makes diagnosis much easier.

Do a search on this forum. Check the big connector on the climate control seat module for melted terminals. It is under the passenger seat.

Funny thing is that our truck just started doing the same thing. I already have a new module and connector for it. Gonna fix it this week.

Ok... I checked the module under the passenger seat. The harness for the module under the seat was disconnected! I plug in the harness and turned on the heated seats. While waiting for the seats to get warm, the truck automatic heater turned on and shut off. I continued to wait for the seats to warm up and the truck heater turned on and immediately shut off again. I then unplugged the harness (that I initially plugged in) and the truck heater which was set on automatic powered on and stayed on. Any idea of what is going on here?

I never seen or heard of that. The HVAC is a separate circuit from the heated seats, unless a ground in possibly shared between the 2. I'll take a look at the schematics in the morning when I have a chance.

I have the same problem. How do you disconnect the connector-squeeze in the side clips?
The release clip is on the top of the connector. Squeeze the tab and pull it out. If it is melted, it will put up a fight.

Mine also had same issue. It was melted so bad I couldn't even pry apart with flat head screw driver. I had to remove the 10mm nuts holding it in place and take the whole module out. I then used a Dremel to seperate the plug from the module. After I cleaned the terminals and hard wired and soldered the burnt connection. It's worked flawless for the last 6 months. I find this happens in everyone I've seen from 07-09. Anyone with seats not working this is #1 cause

So is the root cause of the problem, the harness is too short for the seat to function properly? I have not connected the harness again since my last post. I live in GA and its never really that cold ... I'm just curious on if I should leave it unplugged or plug it back in...

On my 2007 escalade both seat heaters went out. Wiring harness and modules are under the pass ft seat. My issue was an overheated connection(loose). Move pass seat forward and up. I found rear most outboard connection(under black plastic cover) had a bad male/female contact. It was burnt and melted. Tried to clean it up and tighten connection but failed twice again. Cut out the wires and soldered male and female blade connectors on, worked since.

Dealer stated "Found no communication with climate control set module. Inspected and found main CCSM Connector to be melted due to resistance in connector terminals. Had to cut open and replace connector body and replace terminals and rewire. Also replaced melted CSM. I attached a picture of mine as well. Identical to your picture.

I see you got the picture that I sent you, Douyon. I think I saw you on rte 18 in East Brunswick. Hope the seats work fine now.
