My salesman said there were heated and ocoled cupholders.

The motor trend article on led lights, also said there here heated and cooled cupholders in the 2015 escalade.

Does anyone have them?

How do i get them to function?

Mr. Z.

The article I posted on the other post was based on the 2008 Escalade Platinum. I apologize for not being specific earlier on my last post which caused you to be confused.

The 2015 Platinum doesn't have the heated cup holder anymore, not sure if they are going to have it in the upcoming platinum couple years from now.

The main purpose the article was to educate people about the difference between LED, HID, and halogen lights and why people are flashing back at Escalade drivers or anyone with HID lights.

I am going back to edit so more, to be for specific.

Again, I apologize.

I really like the Motor Trend article on the LED lights.
did not notice it was 7 years old.

I though I saw a picture of a 2015i Platinum.

since many use plastic water bottles the heat can not melt them or you would have a real mess.
the refrigerator at 40 degrees seems to have little effect. many for longer drives the refrigerator might be OK.

I have them in my 2013 Platinum Escalade. The cool function was actually heating the cup; still under warranty, and Dimmit Cadillac in St Pete, FL said they won't fix it, as the part was obsoleted. I think that they just didn't want to fix it- so much for their integrity.

I miss the heated windshield washer fluid feature of the previous gen. Escalades. But GM couldn't even get that right and discontinued the feature after a couple of years due to a possible fire hazard.

this reminds me of the late 70's Porsche 928 feature that cooled the glove box so your Belgian chocolate and Hasselblad camera would be protected. Even when those words came out of my mouth when speaking to a customer, it sounded ridiculous. Is there really a need for climate controlled cup holders?

I'm sure they'd come in handy on long trips since a guy like me has to sip his water or make frequent stops...

So does a 2011 DTS Platinum have heated cup holders or not?
