This is a strange problem. My 1989 Deville heats up and works great, except
after driving an extendend amount of time and then slowing down to city street speeds. The heater blows out only cold air. The only remendy is to stop the vehicle and let it sit briefly, then it functions ok again. Does anyone know enough about the electronic climate control to tell if that may be the problem? Or any other suggestions? (new heater core and radiator recently installed also thermostat)

Thanks

I know this sounds stupid but it sounds like your coolant level is low, when it heats up and the thermostat opens the coolant all goes into the motor and the core empties out, then when you slow down and the coolant pressure decreases the coolant flows back into the core? Just an idea.

you know, i went out to my deville which is sitting crippled in my yard, and i looked at the coolant level, and it is low. I feel really retarted. I prepare to change all my fluids when i fix my car though
