Hey there! Stoked on my 1st cts-v!! Just picked up a 2005 4 door today. Black in color with 80k on it.
So the rims are peeling, I'd like to buy some new black rims for aroumd 1500 for the set if your. Any thoughts/links?
I'd also like to replace the headlights as they are scratched. I looked intonrplacing them through Cadillac but they are quite expensive. Anyone have any thoughts/links to aftermarket that have work well with others?
Hey I really appreciate anyone that takes the time to shoot me a response.
Take care! Mitch

I would not buy a new set of rims. I would have your's refinished. You can luck out and find a powder coating person on craigslist to do it pretty cheap for you.

If the headlights are just scratched its worth using I believe the 3m heavy duty headlight restoring kit, it is really aggressive and takes a lot off. The rainx one is not as aggressive only ok for light scratches. Either way, after thats done, you can buy film to protect the refinished surface of them.

Welcome to the V club and to the forum!

Concur with 89eldo on both points. Wheel selection for these cars is quite limited, as the 6-lug pattern means that you're (for the most part) looking at expensive wheels from companies like HRE, True Forged, CCW, etc etc. The stock wheels actually suit the car really well, and you should be able to get them refinished a helluva lot cheaper than $1500.

If it's just paint peeling, maybe look into having them powder coated locally. Most likely it's affordable vs buying an additional set of wheels. Otherwise team Dynamics makes a beautiful set. You can also 5 lug swap and open up many different ways to go from there.

For headlights I went with depo brand from Rock Auto. Select the info button on rock auto site after searching for headlights and they will show the GM part number. Search the part number mentioned to find cheaper sources. They are exellent quality pieces. Mine are still going strong after 18 months and still look new.
