Does anyone know where the automatic sensor for headlights is located I have 2000 escalade, I thought it was on dash somewhere but it's not, is it in the grill. my lights just shut off the other night for about 2 minutes this has happened twice now.I think its the sensor

The sensor should be in the dash near the windshield. I helped a friend change one out on a 2000 Esky a few years ago after he inadvertently poked in through into the dash. If I recall, we had to remove the front dash cover, remove the radio and there was access to the sensor way behind the radio where a skinny arm can pull and twist it out.

It cannot be the fuse. If a fuse blows it cannot repair itself. It works only one time.

. I had a fuse corrode it gave funny symptoms with fuel pump

Most likely not a fuse in this case. I had a fuse corrode and give funny symptoms to the fuel pumpin Chevy 1500hd
