iv only had my cts for about a month, and i havent noticed this...is this a mod or or this stock???

It's only on HID equipped CTS's and activates with the windshield washer fluid button.

Isn't that the greatest thing? headlamp washers are so cool, especially when they look like ours, so high tech an futuristic looking I think

They are better than nothing but aren't real effective. The Euro cars use wipers. They are ugly but more effective IMO.

They work great if you keep your car CLEAN. Every time you use your wiper mist and the lights are on, they get a shot and it DOES work.

In Ohio in the winter and the slush and snow it's difficult to keep your windshield clean let alone your headlights. But like I said they're better than nothing. I'm pleased I have them.:yup:

My only gripe is when they go off when your car is relatively clean and you just want to spray the windshield. Nevertheless, I look forward using it in the winter!

It doesn't seem to be driver optional on my 06. Even with my headlights off (broad daylight) if I use the windshield washer my headlamps get sprayed. It may be becasue mine is wired so that the headlights come on if you turn on the wipers (a law in Missouri). But it's irritating when I'm just clearing some dust off the windshield because the headlamp washer oversprays and gets my windshield. I have to then manually run the wipers one more time to clear the over spray.

I don't like headlamp washers either. It basically hoses down the car making it all dirty. I have gotten in the habbit of never using my windsheild sprayer just for that simple fact. I'll pull into the nearest gas station and wash my windsheild.

The headlight wipers ONLY work when you are washing your windshield and at the same time the lights are on. Otherwise they don't work.

The assumption is this, if you windshield is dirty enough for you to use the washer, then CERTAINLY your headlight lenses are just as dirty or maybe even worse?

You WOULDN'T be using your windshield washers on a spotless car would you??

Only cars equiped with HID. What does HID stand for?

The headlight washers only come on when the headlights do, so no need to stop using you windshield washer, just dont have your lights on at the same time.

HID stands for High Intensity Discharge

it has to do with the lighting of your car, the CTS is either HID equipped (when u get the right package) or u get standard Halogen headlights...

the only time i have ever used them was when this a$$ was next to me at a red light. he had cut me off twice in a mile. how do you do that. anyways i turned on my lights and then hit hte washers and sprayed his what seemed to be freshly cleaned car. you can really get some distance on the spray when you are sitting still. nice little feature to piss someone off at a red light.
