I'm installing some headers on my 1969 Caddy hearse with a 472 motor. I'm having a hard time locating HEADER gaskets for the 472. I purchased some regular Felpro manifold gaskets but these won't do. Standard bolt pattern Some have suggested just using high temp RTV. I know Cad Company has the individual gaskets but I'd like one solid one per side if possible. Jc Whitney lists some made by SCE but the bolt pattern is not right. Thanks.

I think some of the vendors have copper gaskets. I used the fel pro's with copper rtv and they sealed OK.

Thanks! Is this a solid gasket per side or individual ones for each cylinder? I called MTS but they are not open yet.

Solid per side unless I can't remember correctly, but you should call and as just in case. Also I can't remember the thickness but just ask Al, and post it back here for me if you wouldn't mind. :)

I have the Felpro version but want to go with copper. I went ahead and purchased the set from MTS. Some have said high temp RTV is all you need. My exhaust man believes copper is the best way to go. To each his own I guess.
