Hi , how are you ? I am new to the forum . I have a 1998 Eldorado and I'm trying to get an inspection sticker for the car . The car's control head is not functional , so the hvac / defroster functions don't work in the car . The mechanic that I might be able to get an inspection sticker from , said to me that the O B D system diagnostic trouble code ( P O 1 1 3 ) is coming up, and this has to be diagnosed and the problem repaired . Any help with this problem resolution would be appreciated .

Thank you , Eddy B M

Good day !

P0113 is "Intake air temperature sensor circuit high voltage". The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is snapped into the air duct close to the air filter box and it supplies air temperature to the PCM and engine emission control systems. You can clean the electrical connector and see if that clears the code, or even replace the sensor itself, BUT a "high voltage" warning may point to problems other than the sensor itself.
