Well, I got my car tinted the other day. 30 percent lumar on 4 windows, but
the rear windshield. After he did the tint on my car. I went around to check
it out, and I noticed on the rear windshield there were pimply dots cluttered
around in a certain area, towards the top middle. And I asked the dude, "Why
are they little dots on back of the rear windshield." He said there's nothing
you can do, and that they will stay there permanently, and in fact can get
worse over time. So I said to him forget that. I don't want that on my car.
Take it off. So instead of him gently peeling off the tint on the rear
windshield. He tore off all the tint on the rear windshield like a mad man.
(What a jerk!) Without removing the glue. I also noticed that he never reconnected the antenna, inside the rear windshield for the integrated phone
either. (Asswipe) The man BOB the manager, didn't charge me for the rear
windshield. So it was a hundred bucks plus tax, for lumar tint with a lifetime
warranty. Plus I am going back monday so that they remove the glue, which
the man didn't do, and it dried up inside the back window, since he was so
pissed that I told him to take it off.
Any way my question is that how you guys with the pimped out cadillacs on
cardomain. and on this forum as well have perfect laid out tint on your rear
windshield, without any of those hideous bumps on the back of it. How did
you guys do it. Or what did you do to remove them?
Because I will still get my back rear windshield tinted, but not unless there
wont be no bumps on them. One guy said, he can get a piece of vinyl and
put it over the area with a bumps. Then add a second strip of tint
underneath it, but there will be a noticeable seam because there will be two
layers, top and bottom but the vinyl will cover the bumps, but you will not be
able to see out that section of the window
Or he can just put a whole single layer on the back, (Not the same tint
man one of course
) but there will be a 50/50 chance, give or take, that
the bumps will show up or won't show up. He also said as time goes buy the
bumps will gradually disappear. But im not sure if thats the case.
Any suggestions on how to tint the rear windshield??? I know this guy he did
an excellent job tinting my hyundai i drive as well a couple of years ago.
