My front wheels are starting to feel a bit uncontrolled going over bumps. I'm thinking of changing my shocks. My car is a 07 STS-V with ~70K miles on it. Has anyone changed theirs? Did the stability / handling improve? And how much did it cost?

Fronts are around $100 each on amazon. I'd bet your rears are still good. Try fronts first. Made a big difference on my car.

Have you tried the standard bounce test for the shocks to see how many bounces you get?

Thanks for the replies. Bounce test is not bad really. But I think the shocks would have to be really far gone for it to fail on a car with as stiff a suspension as ours. I agree I only seem to have issues on the front. Did anyone have a garage change them, and how much was the total bill?
