Thanks, everybody! It's been a good day. Both of my sisters and my parents called with birthday greetings.

Fortunately, Nancy had recovered enough from her nasty wicked cold to take me out to dinner at Macaroni Grill. Not only did I get warm chocolate cake, our server, who must have had opera training, sang "Happy Birthday" to me in Italian. She was marvelous.

It's a good thing we were full from dinner, because for the move, we went to see Ratatouille. As with every other Pixar movie, it's great fun and a visual feast.

And to top it all off, Nancy got me an iPhone!
















Just kidding. Actually, she got me Pez dispensers, which I'll have more fun with. The Apple store was busy, but not totally mobbed.

OK, it's after midnight. Birthday #41 is over. But it's been one of the better ones. Thanks again for all the good wishes.
