Just wanted to wish a happy and blessed new year to all, and especially to Sal for his dedication and time necessary to build this brand new forum.

My all of us fellow Cadillac owners avoid the dreaded Northstar oil leak this year!

Hi Paul! Thanks for signing up and for the kind words.. It helps to know that people feel my trouble will be worth something. :) In the long run, it will be... As for the Northstar leak.. Uhh! Well.. It's not really THAT bad - to me... When I had my '95 ETC, I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube and I become accustom to just stopping in at about 1500 miles to get a top-off.. No biggie, really. And honestly - even if there Northstar didn't leak or burn the oil, it's not a bad idea to stop in anyway...

Happy new year! :)

at least your jiffy lube agrees to change your oil. I think i was turned down by them when i took my cad in for a quickie. It must have been the northstar engine that scared them to death

Really? They turned you down? Wierd..
even the chevy dealer turned me down and pointed towards the caddie dealer few yrs ago. Yes you get turned down soon as they see the northstar engine cover.

Here in Waynesboro (Virginia) I have used the Chevy/Buick dealer as often as the Cadillac dealer for anything, including routine service.
Service is "friendlier" than I had when living in Northern Virginia (Fairfax County) for many years.

Cold, and waiting on the latest snowfall....darn global warming!
