Nice. Pretty birds. We have an active nest in the top of a HUGE pine tree about 200 yards east of us. The Chesapeake Bay area has a very, very healthy eagle population.
Magnificent birds. I see them up high and up north but locally I’ll see falcons perched as low as a fence pole. If I slow down they fly off. Hard to get a pic.
majestic. We occasionally see them in north east Texas and commonly around Lake Texoma which straddles the Tx-Ok border. Even more common here are the red tail hawks which are strong enough to snatch a rabbit or duck and take it into the trees to eat.
We had a strange visitor today. A dolphin (to the right of kayaks). Very rare in our latitude. Took the trip from the Mediterranean via the Atlantic and North Sea into south Danish waters.
