hi guys my 93 sts 115k miles makes a strange rattling groan but mainly a vibration in drive and at idle. i suspect the serpentine belt tensioner or the water pump tensioner. the strange thing is i can feel the vibration in the car eg dash left floor board? would an engine noise eg the tensioner roughness transfer to the psgr compartment? is this possibly just some thing rubbing it feels /sounds like a heat sheild rubbing but where . thanks in advance guys

Possibly the catalytic convertor is broken. Caddy's don't have a lot of problems with that but it is a possibility from some of your description.
guys it wAS THE ac lines vibrating figured out after i replaced the belt tensioner which was not the problem . oh well you live and learn!
