I Found a garaged 06 STS V in Raven Black. Turned 100K on my 1,100mi drive in the rain home. Nothing like driving a caddie in the rain! :)
The car runs and drives strong but it is not perfect. I was aware that I'm looking at just under 2k for valve covers and the 4 cam actuaries? (located on the front of the motor) that are leaking. This leak looks pretty common for this motor. I sure am open to recommendations / advice about this repair.

Tires: Fortunately I'm not going to need till the fall but I have Continental Extreme Contact on the car now and they ride like crap to me. I see that Bridgestone Turanza rate for a better ride. Tire suggestions pleases.

Clock / GPS: Is getting this stuff to work pretty much hopeless?

I have the DWSs on my V and I think they're great. 2nd set on the back. Not cheap so now I try to keep the spinning to a minimum.

I think they also changed the material formula a bit between purchases.

My only minor complaint is, because my car sits in the garage for long periods, I get some flat spotting. But they seem to work out after a few miles of driving.
When I bought the car it had the Contenital Extreme Contact all season with maybe 4K miles left on them. The car was shaking at about 80mph so I took it in to get balanced and discovered that one front was de-laminating and one rear had a flat spot. (they were 6 yrs. old). I went with the Firestone Indy 500. Wow what a difference! Stick like glue, nice ride and quite. Its a summer tire but living in San Diego not to concerned, My baby will not be going skiing!!
