Hi, great to be on the forums! I just got my first Cadillac. It's a 1967 Cadillac DeVille, and it's a beauty. I can't wait to really get to work on making this car a masterpiece of engineering and art! Check out the pictures and some video footage by going to my thread on the Aurora forums...

I got the car for 2,000.00, which I feel is a good deal! What do you folks think? It shouldn't be too hard to bring this baby back. She starts up every time!

Awesome :D Are you willing to indulge us with the details?

When I was in high school I was actually choosing between one of those and a 2nd gen Trans Am. I bought the T/A; I couldn't fit the Cadillac in the garage.
WOW! What a blast from the past. It`s really amazing how LARGE Caddy`s were from a time gone by.You`re Caddy classic must be close to 21 feet long and may weigh well over 2 tons.

A 1967 Cadillac Deville was parked next to my 1995 Deville in a parking lot the other day----both of our front ends were lined up straight and the '67 was at least 2 feet longer than mine----i was amazed-----LAND YACHTS from a more is better era.
Are you open to offers.......for the spice air freshener hahaha.

Nice ride, show progress pics.
I will only sell that Spice freshener for a tune of 300 bucks, it is truly a collectors piece! But no seriously, the best smell of those trees is the Vanillaroma! I use it in my Aurora. I know exactly what you mean about this car's length, it weighs in at 19.6 feet long! I don't about the weight though, it should be more than 2 tons, cuz that is what my Aurora weighs, and this car is much bigger!

I have a question as I do not have the owner's manual nor do I have a service manual yet. What kind of oil should I use (I use Shell 10w-30 oil - I don't like synthetic and I don't think I need high mileage is it has less mileage than my Aurora - 114,000.). And how much oil should it use? I"m planning on putting on a new alternator and changing the oil.

What kind of cooling system does this car have? The 1964 I was gonna pick up had a water filled system...

Nice car ,it needs some work but after completing a restoration the car will be a state of art ;)
Your car looks like its in really great condition being that old! I didn't see any body damage other than that rust, but that seemed like minor work. How's the underbody? Inside of the car looks great too for it's age. It should be a pretty easy restore for you.
It's a beauty and looks like an easy fix. I think 2K is very reasonable. A 67 Deville is the first Caddy I ever sat in and I've been hooked ever since. Enjoy.
Looks like a solid car, just needs a little TLC. Which oil depends on where you live. If in the West or Southwest, 10W-30 or 10W-40 will do nicely. If in the Northeast or upper Midwest, you might consider using 5W-30, especially during the colder months. IIRC, an oil change with a new filter should require 5 quarts of oil, 4 quarts without a filter. Good luck with your new baby, and keep us posted on your progress.

Looks good!

Keep your pimp hand strong, bro!
