Enjoy, would love to hear your 500 mile report.
I thought all the '09 V's were 6-speed, your only choice was AUTOMATIC or MANUAL...Traded my 2006 CTS-V and picked up 09 V with NO sun roof, Recaro seats and a 6 speed trans.
You just squashed any delusions of granduer I had up until now, trying to figure out how to arrange things to afford the V2 payment. With trade-in values like that (I'm an 06 too @ 40k/mi) I'd be upside down another 8k'ish. I'd been conveniently ignoring that during my daydreaming sessions, you just brought me back down to planet earth...Could not sell 06 and had to trade for 19500 (not good)
6 speed manual. Installed Corsa at 45 miles. Needs breakin as it is not that much louderI thought all the '09 V's were 6-speed, your only choice was AUTOMATIC or MANUAL...
Had car on e-bay and all other options but could not get better than $20 600. Mine was red and BLK is the color they like in the V. But anyway good buy for someone.Congrats on the new purchase .... but, the important question - what color? Or maybe even:

At 200 miles it is pretty cool. I work for Palm Beach Raceway and was teaching last night. Had the car on course for a few laps. Slow ones not over 4000 revs. This could be the best car GM ever produced as it has all the comforts in ride but can be unleashed to be a PURE hi- pro sedan.Enjoy, would love to hear your 500 mile report.
Car has 800 miles on it now and is a delight to drive. Ride is great in all modes. Power is smooth and runs better than all hi-pro Euro sedans I have tested. May 6th I will be at PBIR and will have it on a road course.Enjoy, would love to hear your 500 mile report.
Congrats! I'm still working through break-in on my 6 manual - LOVE this car! :cloud9:Corsa is sounding better and should get better with more miles.

You do know that the new v with the manual's ecu holds the throttle steady on the no shift left as to prevent damage right ?May 6th I will have an in car camera and will post. Flat shifting is a no no. No reason to as this car has enough power and torque. At 1100 miles I have gotton on it many times and it is GREAT and lots of fun. Bloody fast!!!!!
Been racing for many years and never flat shifted as the wear does not make the tinnie time saving worth it at all.
Now a sequencial gear box that is another story

Yes I do know that but still have not flat shifted. Has 2100 miles and is fantastic. On track every Wed nite road course. Not pushing hard but still 1.18 g is pretty good for a big sedan. M-5 tried me last night on back straight and said once he saw me jump on throttle it was all over. You do know that the new v with the manual's ecu holds the throttle steady on the no shift left as to prevent damage right ?
