Thanks. It drives like a dream! This is the Luxury model. AWD with NAV and the vibrating seat package.

 

@wthomas33: Congratulations on your purchase, really nice looking car. What are your overall impressions of the XTS, so far? I've heard some pretty polarizing opinions of the vehicle, on this site...

 

I have had DTS's, Devilles and El Dorado's in my past and the ride of this car is smoooooth! The suspension is way smoother than the 07 DTS that I traded in. Also, the soundproofing on the XTS is unbelievable. It is so quiet inside the cabin. The quick ratio steering makes it a pleasure to drive.

Before you listen to anyone tell you otherwise about the XTS, go take a test drive. It convinced me and I was not sure that a V6 could perform like my old NorthStar.

It is plenty peppy!

The high tech stuff I am still figuring out. Not that its difficult, it just takes time. The iPad it came with has some great apps to learn from.

Premium, w/sunroof, compact spare and power rear manual rear window sunshades. Two weeks old. Average 18mpg on first tankful with lots of idling to configure various personal settings.

 

Awesome looking car, as I see you owned an STS with the same engine, does the V6 feel smoother in your new XTS? Fuel economy should be about the same.

Thank you. Car does feel smoother, but I think to some degree it has to do with it being a tighter build and quieter in the cabin. MPG seems to be a bit better than the 2008 STS.

 

Is the Inteior on yours the "Caramel with Jet Black"? I knoe the exterior is Black Raven.

The int. looks good on a dark car!

Correct about the interior. I was thinking of a simple mod to the wheels for $40 at eBay. Any thoughts from anyone?

 

I think they would look good. On my CTS V I have the chrome valve caps with the Cadillac emblem, they look good.

Thanks to those who posted pictures! The "real world" images look better than most I've seen in articles about the XTS. MarathonMan89, the "modification" would look great with a Black Raven exterior, and very tasteful. Your car looks beautiful! (The Gray with Light Titanium interior posted earlier looks classic, too!)

 

Do fingerprints show up easily on the screens and steering wheel buttons? The only reason I ask is because I think I can see them in the last picture.

Also I own a 03 Seville and was thinking of a DTS, because I wanted a roomier car. Is the XTS pretty roomy? I am just over 6 foot, and I definitely want a car that is bigger than my Seville.

Just installed these Black STS-V hubcaps on my 2013 Black Raven Premium XTS (perfect fit). Still not sure whether or not I like them. Anybody care to share their thoughts on how they look?

Um, I've been looking at a lot of XTS models forsale. None have the wood rimmed steering wheel. They have wood on the horn pad spokes, but not on the wheel itself. Do you think that is the new way they are offering wood trim on the steering wheel now?

 

I believe so, yes. Which is great, because wood on the wheel is annoying.

Thank you very much for posting this. I had never seen the customized iPad before.

The welcome letter with the center-justified text is a bit hard on the eyes though.

 

Congratulations kipsts, that is simply gorgeous! I'm envious. I am a black Cadillac guy but that silver looks stunning in your photos, and the interior is fantastic. Keep us updated on how you like living with the car as you get more time with it.

No it is actually very well integrated into the trunk lid similar to the way the slight 'wing' was on the STS. Here are a couple of pics:

 

Makes complete sense to me, and after seeing your pictures I am even considering silver, both for that sun/heat reason and how good it looks in silver. I used to always have dark red Corvettes like the Red Tintcoat but ended up with a lot of black cars when I switched over exclusively to Cadillacs. Had been considering Thunder Gray, but your silver has me reconsidering. I am seriously considering moving on to an XTS Platinum and I really like yours.

 

Man... eff you Kip... I'm sooooo jealous! Congrats buddy, great looking ride!!!

I can't wait for ATS though...
