Anyone have a fix for this? The passenger side air vent locks in position whenever it's fully closed. The dealership has replaced the vent twice and now, one of my %$#^& passengers decided she was cold and closed the ^%$*#& thing again. Now, it's locked shut AGAIN! Must be a design defect. Anyone have a fix?

Mine did that first try. I just forced it open a couple of times and it doesn't do it anymore. There must be a little flashing on the plastic.
My wife would like that feature. She wants her vents closed, temp up, and seat heater on year round.

Easy fix: Get rid of passengers.

Please send a check for $100.

Hot wife???? Send pics.
Just apply some brute force to the vent control in the opening direction. Mine locked up so I just opened and closed it forcefully a couple of times and now it's fine. Are you a man or a mouse? Squeak up!
Man or a mouse? Here's a clue. My nickname is not "Binky".

When I closed the vent and it locked up it pissed me off. I had the advantage that I was in a fit of rage when I forced it back open and it fixed it. Try it you'll like it.
By the way, Thanks! Binky! Could not force the wheel to open, but sticking a screwdriver in and forcing the door open did the trick. Now, it doesn't stick anymore.

As I said earlier, I think there is a little bit of plastic flashing from the molding process that needs to get knocked off. It'd take somebody 5 seconds with a pocket knife to fix this at assembly.
