I am looking to get a 98' seville from a guy. Car is in good condition just has a blown head gasket. We checked it out it starts fine. New tires, good interior. We have a guy to tow for free. Now we have an engine lift and can get the head gasket. Is it worth it to get the car and fix it up or sell the parts on ebay?

if your doing the work (and doing it right with timeserts or the like) yourself yea depending on mileage and condition it would be worth it for you to keep it
if not then send her to ebay

All depends on mileage of the car, I think with doing it yourself its about 800 bucks in parts from what I remember, search around on the forums, I think there is a thread in the N* section about a DIY HG job.

Finally brought the car home, it was actually a steal for $350 because he just couldnt sell it and we were the only people who gave him an offer. We will be dropping the engine and rebuilding it so it will run like brand new

$350.00!?!? thats great man if you do the head job youself you will probably own the car for about $1200.00 which is a steal!

Go with the stud kit its a real slick setup! and make sure you reseal the half case and oil pan while you have the motor in they are prone to leak and the TCC solenoid is a good thing to replace as well.
