Hey all,
Does anyone else find the generic front fender "GM" badging on all (US?) built GM cars & trucks a bit...dumb? I mean, who wants a silly little square badge on their 75k XLR or 37k CTS that matches a 12k Cobalt? Are they putting these things on vettes as well? This is so old-school GM. This is no way to brand in todays marketplace. I wonder if ford is going to put their blue oval on the sides of austin-martin's?!?!
I rip the things right off my new Cadilliac...if I bought one. The funny thing is, none of the pictures on Cadillac's web-site show the badges.

They don't bother me. If I had a problem with my Cadillac being a GM vehicle I wouldn't buy it in first place.

This has already been discussed in the past. I have a 2006 CTS and had the badge removed. I guess that shows my opinion of it.

Its about as unobtrusive a badge as they could make. I have to physically LOOK for it to tell if a car is a 06 or not. It dosen't pop out at all or anything, at least not in my opinion.

They don't bother me. If I had a problem with my Cadillac being a GM vehicle I wouldn't buy it in first place.

I understand, I wasn't making the statement to knock GM or anything. From a design standpoint they just don't fit. Just build & design great cars and drop the gimmicks.
Besides, is'nt this the same company who chose NOT to put an Oldsmobile logo on the Aurora when it first came out?
Yea, that's good branding....maybe the dude that wants a Lexus will buy an Aurora becuase it's "not" and Olds.
