Hey fellas,

I have a 07, that will soon have Kooks LTs, High flow cats, corsa catback, and a UUC installed. After the tune, I am trying to figure out what the next mods will be, and am leaning towards a cam and heads package. The primary goal is to increase power at the top end and extend the RPM range between shifts. Seconday goals are to give the engine a nice lope at idle and bring out a little more of that muscle car sound.

I think if I had the local dealership install a GM heads / cam package they would continue to honor my warranty. Any other manufacturer and Im probably SOL.

What do you guys think? Any GM solutions out there that you would recommend?

Not to burst your bubble, but I doubt GM will warranty it even if it is their heads and cam. I talked to three dealers around here about it back when I first got mine and they all confirmed that. On top of that, GM's cam offerings are very limited and tend to be pretty mild from what I've seen.

On a more positive note, their L92 heads perform really well and are hard to beat at around $1k for a set. And since you have the LS2 they should fit just fine w/o any re-sleeving, etc. The L76 intake is the way to go with those heads and runs just under $500 I believe.

I'm adding a cam in a couple of weeks as well (as soon as my headers get in) and I'll post the results once it's done. I was looking for pretty much the same as you.

I just got done reading the report on GMTech about the L92 heads and the L76 intake. Looks like an increase of about 40-50 with that stage II cam. Think similar numbers will be attainable using our Z06 cam?

So I take it swapping heads doesnt effect the warranty, or is just thats it's difficult to detect unless someones really looking for it?

The latter. They won't technically void the warranty, but it would sure make it easy for them to blame any engine (or possibly diff) problems on them.

Hush - Give me a heads up when you are doing the deed. I want to stop by and check out the upgrade. I assume you are going to Vengeance.

Trying to decide how radical I am going to go. Do I continue with baby steps, or WTF and reduce check book balance significantly
