Have any of you guys had any issues with the black trim around the window?

I've noticed that the black glossy trim on the driver side door is pealing or loosing it's gloss in some spots see my image below:

Would this be something that could be replaced and could it be covered by warranty?

On my 2008 the dealer has replaced the right center piece and right front door frame for a under the surface distortion caused when they were taken off and put back on when they were working on the doors. The left rear door bottom piece has exactly the same problems as yours and it was replaced under warranty...I only have 17k miles on the vehicle.

I do not know to be exact.. I am having the same issue on my 07. I asked a dealer and was told since I am not the original owner and it is at 55k miles it would not be covered.

My next thought is to see if I can take pics of that and the peeling chrome from the wheels and email gm to see what they say.. It is a $70,000 truck, this should not even be happening. If you hear anything please keep me informed.

@Noodle015 are you still on the bumper to bumper warranty? I think mine runs out in Oct. But if it's covered by the warranty I didn't think it would matter how many owners the vehicle has had?

I'll try to make in to the dealer to see what they tell me, will probably make some excuse why they can't do it :/

Fivepix, I believe I am out sine I am over 50k. Sine I bought this truck used I was told that I could certify from the out of state chevy dealer, I went to a Cadillac dealer and they said not possible since it was not purchased from a caddy dealer and they would of had to do it then.
I recently took it in top have the rear bumper done and they service guy said I would have to replace and have them painted, I may think to look at a local junk yard.

Another thought is they do sell the chrome pillar covers, not my style but it's an option.
You live and learn when you buy a Cadillac and it's used..haha still nice but know what to look for next time.

Ok, so we get that the B2B will cover it, but what about outside of that... has anyone figured anything out? I would be perfectly satisfied just rubbing the rest of the gloss off if it would leave a consistent even surface. I did this once on a BMW X5 door handle that had all that rubbery crap peeling off.
