Gen 3 Lockpick

I just purchased and installed the Gen 3 Lockpick two days ago. The product is all it is said to be. It works great and the instructions included were perfect. The only problem I had installing it was the fuse was blown in the battery they gave me. I didn't see it right away and that is why it took me two hours instead of one. I kept thinking I was wiring something wrong, but it turned out it was only the fuse. I don't understand some of these people on here who say they have problems with the product. Maybe they're not doing it themselves, or they're hooking it up wrong!

I had gen 1 and gen 2, they both made other things stop working, I was not alone, and after two bad units I was not trying another from them.
Slade thanks for the info. With the fun history of the old lockpicks its nice to hear that the gen3 has been working out. Keep us posted on any hickups
I think it is time for me to finally order the Gen 3. I am getting tired of pulling off the road everytime I want to input an address or look for a freaking resteraunt.

Thanks Slade

What was the install procedure like? It is hard for someone that doesn't have any mechanical or electrical experience?

if you have the right tools all you need to do is follow the instructions...The panels pop off very easliy, all you need to do is find out where they are with the right tool (again.) Very simple procedure, the only reason it took an hour, is because I was extra careful with the procedure and trim pieces.
I had the Gen 2 and I replaced it with the Gen 3 Lock pick. All my gen 2 buggs are fixed and No new ones have poped up as of yett. Fingers crossed
How much for a Gen 3 lockpick?

I am also very, very tired of pulling over to the side of the road to use the GPS. I actually think how it is setup is more dangerious than if they just let you use it. The best setup would have been using the passenger seat occupancy sensor to dictate if the GPS worked or not while moving.
Where can you get the Gen 4 Lockpick and do they have them for both the 2007 Escalade and the 2007 STS-V?

SG
no such thing as the gen-4 lockpick...

You can but the Gen 3 here http://www.coastaletech.com/gmlockpick3.htm
I am interested in installing this myself. What are the "right" tools? What tools do I need?

Go to the link and click on the installation video and you only need 3 tools from what I remember. Seems very easy to install.

I am just waiting for a response to my email that I sent them regarding my 2007 STS-V and if it will work on both my 2007 Cadillacs.
