yeah thats what im trying to say. the 4th post and the 3 engine described is a 74 500 with hei, but you have the gap at .035 when it should be .060 just wanted to give you the heads up so people done set the gap wrong.

According to Chilton 1984 Parts and Labor Guide:

'79 425 W carb = 23 btdc checked at 1400 RPM. (not the same as 1978)
Fuel injected = 18 btdc which IS the same as 1978.

Some of these books AND the specs posted here are incorrect. They show figures of how many degrees before top dead center the intake valve opens on engines of different years. When you look up the internal engine items such as camshafts, timing gears, etc. they are all the same exact part numbers. Something is wrong.

I said what I said because there were no physical changes between 78 and 79 engines. Who has got a factory service manual, anyone?

Since there is some interest and knowledge regarding "Old School" Caddy's - Can anyone direct me to any info on buying the right radial tires for a 1970 Coup Deville Convertible.

the ones one Bebe are (I think) the wrong size - my speedo is off by about 8 miles an hour and the exhaust (on a rare occasion) bottoms out.
