My "mpg since the last reset" gauge has always read 18.4 but has gradually gone down since I started using remote start, This didn't seem very good and I didn't get the bumps I'd expect after an I-405 trip. But somebody posted re the "Efficiency Gauge" and, while efficiency seems like a concept for small minds, I thought I would check it out. The top bar has me getting 26.5 MPG for the last 30 miles. This is a pleasant surprise although I feel pretty dumb. I thought posters who claimed mpg in this range were just lying as guys have always done after changing their plugs or trying a miracle additive. I'll still put a $50 bill in the tank whenever the gauge tells me to although it may not fit anymore. Whoa, we never did run out of oil! I have reset the first gauge and will try to figure out the discrepancy.
