As are some others here, I'm thinking ahead to driving my V in the winter. Accordingly, I've been trying to find out how much new wheels are. I just called the local dealer I plan to use for service and they are telling me that the stock 19's (polished) are orderable. The fronts are $696 each and the rears $705. They are also asking for a core charge, but I am told that can be waived as I don't want to give up my stock wheels.

So I'm just giving an FYI. I've widened my options to takeoffs, or I may go aftermarket. For not much more than the $2700 the stocks cost I can get some decent summer rims and make my stockers the winter tires. I DO like the stock wheels, though, the first time in the last 8 or 9 cars I've owned that I can honestly say that.

I am hoping this helps someone.

Perhaps one of the sponsoring dealers would be willing to do a group buy with enough interest?

gmpartsdirect.com has them for less...they charge a bit for shipping and handling, but it will still come out a few hundred cheaper than the dealer.

I ordered a stock 04 V wheel from them (they also are 700 from the dealer) and got it shipped for ~470 I think.

I agree with the second post in this thread. Always, always, ALWAYS look to GMPartsDirect first. If you can get the part numbers for the wheels, I'll look through their catalog and get you the pricing.

Thanks for the tip. I'm trying to find the part numbers. Anyone know? None of these sites has 2009 information up yet.

Here are the numbers my dealer gave me:

Front: 9598612
Rear: 9598613

These are supposed to be the polished wheels, but I'd double check before ordering.

$405 and $433, respectively, through GMPartsDirect.

On a whim, I checked 9598610 and 9598611, just for giggles. I don't know if they're the stock/painted wheels (the partsdirect description is vague), but, $416 and $419 respectively.

Thanks for the replies, guys! The PartsDirect price doesn't include the $100 core charge, which for me wouldn't be refunded as I'm using these as a second set. Even so, the cost is less than MSRP. :)

Bringing this back from the dead.

If you are looking for stock polished or painted wheels, they are on backorder from GM, with no availability date known. Just communicated with gmpartsdirect and they gave me the bad news. None on eBay, either, for weeks.

Luckily, still plenty of time until winter so hopefully they will come back into stock soon. Already looking at the aftermarket for options, though.

Good info Frank, thanks.

Even aftermarket, Tirerack now has wheels listed for the CTS-V, but they are all around 1k a wheel. Hell, for that kind of money I would get the D3 wheels.
