Here's an interesting link I found (below)...
If you look at the back-end you'll see the Eldorado in it. All the way from those thick rear pillars to the tails and bumper. Just a bit more like the new models.

PS - I hate the curved up look (you see it in the front view) and same goes for the front end. The front needs to be Fleetwood/Seville.

Is it just me, or was that a picture of a 4-door...

I know it's been years now, but Cadillac used to make a personal luxury coupe with 2 doors... it was called an Eldorado. It sold very well, and was quite an Icon for 49 years or so.....

Obviously, this could not continue....

I have no clue what they're thinking at GM. Ford is selling Mustangs like crazy, in the vacuum left by the departure of the Camaro/Firebird line....

I'm a little shocked Lincoln didn't roll out a Lincoln Mark VIIII... there's another vacuum they could fill....

Sorry, rant over...

Yeah, those C-Pillars and tail lights look like the marriage of an '02 ETC and an '00 DTS.

Keep in mind that the article is from 2005...
... And I just found it.
It's a cool concept, as far as the backend goes. I love the Fleetwood/Seville Front though. This front isn't the hottest.

It has 4 doors because large 2 door cars stopped selling in large volumes decades ago. Even in the same lines, the 4 door versions outsold the 2 doors by 10-1, simply because those huge doors are too hard to manage in today's tight parking, and they also tend to overstress the hinges. And the Camaro/Firebird were failing to sell 100k units combined, whereas the Mustang still can sell 100k units a year. *shrug* I prefer my luxury sedan to have 4 doors, anyway, tipping those seats all the time for rear passengers is just a pain.

Hi Patrick:

I am one that would love for the CTC to be available as a hardtop Convertible Coupe. I don't have people in my back seat ever....anymore.

I hated to park next to Eldorados and Camaros they would ding your doors, because of the poor design of the oversized doors.

Don't fret over the Mark IX, it may come...Lincoln has a dynamite concept touring the circuits.

Glad you corrected the Mark VIIII error. My concern is that if Ford ever came out with a Mark ninty nine, our friend would still be sitting there typing Mark VIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.....

Hi BigBird:

That's kind of mean, I took Roman Numerals in elementary school, during the Dark Ages, and didn't really learn the rules until recently. It's kind of archaic, so I really don't expect anyone to really care about it anymore...except if you end up in the "Revived Roman Empire.":stirpot:

Dug up from the dust. We have 2008 now and it was supposed to see light in 2009, but we haven't seen a glimps of this new model (the DT7??? = former Fleetwood class)

Maybe it died when Lutz burried the V12 project
