I need to order a Fumoto valve for my ATS 2.0 (on order).

If you've seen the bottom of your 2.0 yet, is the engine oil drain plug alignment vertical or nearly horizontal? And if vertical is there anything (other than air) between the drain and the ground?

TIA

As you can see from the screen cap above, there doesn't appear to be much distance between the drain plug and the stepped pan floor above it. But its a screen cap from an animation that I have no idea how accurate that dimension is portrayed.

I can't get any answer from the manufacturer or their retailers to confirm there is enough room to screw the valve in without the lever tower hitting the pan. Or what length extension would be needed to locate the valve past the pan edge or if that would cause other clearance problems with what's next to the pan.

Has anyone installed a valve on their 2.0 yet?

If not does anyone have a picture of the oil pan that would show if there is enough clearance?

Surely at least one owner does oil analysis on their new engines and needs to take small samples or does their own oil changes to avoid the possible carnage of a visit to a dealer service department.
