ok well i have been driving the v quite a bit lately and it seems like when i put the pedal all the way to the floor it cuts out but when i have in pushed only halfway 3/4 it doesnt cut out/lag as much

like it if i take off from 75% throttle it goes like it should feel

but if i got 100% throttle it cuts out and seems to sputter around.


do i need a new MAF?? i tried to reprogram the throttle body but that didnt do anything.


no leaks on the air intake at all.

any other suggestions?

filled up with 15 or so gallons last night, already ran though about 2-3 tanks

just cleaned the maf and then reset the thottle body and it is still doing it

seems fine in park i can rev freely and it feels like it should.

under load in 1st and 2nd gear it seems to not rev as smoothly

in 3rd it seems fine :dunno:

At the risk of over emphasizing what is just a guess--a restricted fuel filter will allow WOT and high rpm under some conditions, but not others. For example, it will allow full rpm under "no load." It can also allow WOT if it is approached gradually but will not permit instantaneous WOT.

cool i will try the new fuel filter i dont think they will be hard to get to

i will check the service manual

i think they are 40.xx dollars

It could be a tuning issue and under higher loads the fueling needs some tweaking. How did you setup your tune? Are the fuel injector tables, VE, timing, etc. stock LS2 values or ?

Problem under load could be ignition based, coil pack, bad plug wire or spark plug.

Just a guess bro, hard to diagnose a car via the internet.

It could be a tuning issue and under higher loads the fueling needs some tweaking. How did you setup your tune? Are the fuel injector tables, VE, timing, etc. stock LS2 values or ?

if you remember i put the ls2 block in, it has the ls6 stock computer programming.

i dont know if that will make a difference or not?

that is for sure i will check more stuff out tomorrow when the engine is cooled off. i dont think it was doing this when i 1st got her on the road finally

Are there any diagnostic codes coming up?

Did you put the LS6 manifold, throttlebody and fuel injectors on the LS2?

no codes and yes used everything ls6, i am pretty sure it ran fine before now seemed to start acting up going to try fuel filter

headed to go change teh fuel filter and also put in the damn cags resistor!!!

friggen thing is always kicking in at the worst times!

update!!! #2

well about about 3 trips and 20 miles or so it is acting up again :hmm:

maybe will throw some gas treatment additive in the tank today
