I was wondering if any body knows where you can buy a new 76 Eldo fuel tank or has anyone tried to put in a 76 Toronado tank instead (which I can still get new).I realize the Olds tank is a little smaller (26 gal?)

Most older wrecking yards have a "hollander interchange manual" to confirm what fits across the GM car lines. My gut tells me the Toro tank should work.
