I have read alot of the past posts on fuel pump problems. Pretty sure mine is headed south. Car runs poorly when turning and low on gas and Ranger suggested the baffles me be bad in the tank. However, now I'm getting hesitation throughout the driving range and it idles pretty rough when at a stop. I've also been getting a high potched whine from the rear end of the vehicle which I at first assumed to be somehow related to the leveling system (that's fine by the way.) So I guess my question is, is the whine typical when a fuel pump is at the end? And, any tips on replacing the pump? I have the GM service manual but any advice would be helpful. I'm going to try to test the fuel pressure tommorow if I can find a gauge.

Almost forget. It's a 91 deville.
high pitch whine from the rear sounds like a fuel pump , the leveling makes a growl/fart noise
