Ok so i know and i understand
that

So i know and understand that there are 3 brand to look for when buying the fuel pump that would be the Same OEM Delphi or acdelco pumps that where in the Car's new

what i am curious about is

I ordered a Ac-Declo MU1791
From a Place that sells parts on Amazon
i picked it up for 114.xx $ Dollars

they sent me a Delphi FG0182
DELPHI Part # FG0182
Witch from rock auto says it's
To Chassis No YU145368

My Vin is YU181326
witch means i would think this would not work
but the company AD Autoparts is telling me in a email

MU1791 is an ACDdelco part number, the difference in the chassis has been eliminated and they use only one pump for both chassis. Do you want to return the product?

So they are saying that even thought Rock Auto says its for the 1st Design witch is Before my Vin number
that it will still work in my car witch should have the 2nd Design

Is this true
or are they Full of it
and just trying to excuse the fact they shipped me a part number that i did not order ?

all i know is
the part they shipped me
is FG0182 E3533M

and from what i think i know
i need the MU1791

FG0162 E3518M

any help on this would be much imprecated

Ok so if i understand correctly
than this 4 wire pigtail harness
plugs into the top of the Fuel Pump correct ?

and then the plug that is part of the car wireing itself that plugs into the pump gets cute and then you use the butt connectors to splice the four plugs ABCD together
and then your all set ?

or am i missing something still ?

I have two fuel pump assemblies for a 2001 - 2003 Seville on the shelf. One has the square round pin OEM connector - direct plug-in. The other has the later flat 4-blade connector that you must splice into the existing wiring harness - an 18" or so cut back. The wire codes and procedure are in the white sheet instructions with the DELPHI/UltraPower/Airtex 3518M fuel pump assembly.

The later flat connector (splice-in) eliminates a potential high resistance connector problem with the OEM square connector.

I thought that T P installed a new fuel pump assembly about two years ago - the fuel tank level sender problem.

naw i was thinking more like 07 08 consider alot of the OEM parts probably where built around that time even thought they where replaced around that time also lol

but i guess still the Big question comes down to is this going to work ?
i mean the pump says FG0182 E3533M
it has the Newer Connector in it

was there really any different other then the connector for the E3553M and E3518M ?

i was still upset they sent me the part diffent than what i ordered they said it would still work but even if it does work im not intrested in dealing with a company like that and chancing it

my pump works fine starts up right away no issues
so ill just replace the fuel level sensor
i sent the pump back for a refund

ordered the SK1035 Level sensor on amazon for 75.00

should i also replace the Fuel Pressure sensor whyll they are in there with the pump ?
not getting any codes from it
but just wondering at they known to fail at any specific amount of time ?
its 2 years old with 50k on it i think
