hey guys.
today while I was driving my fuel gage jumped from 8 gallons and 150 or miles to empty, to E and "Lo." I checked and nothing is spilling, and i have the gas in my tank! Later in the day I noticed that the automatic sentinel thing wasn't turning on my lights. when I turned them on by hand the car started chiming, and continued to do so the entire drive until I turned off the lights, at which point it stopped.

what could cause these two things? i would believe they are connected because both happened the same day, but i dont see how those two things are related.

the car is a 1995 Deville 4.9L non-northstar.

your help is greatly appreciated!:yup:

Sounds like bad ground. A bad ground will cause many electrical gremlins to appear at once. Remove the battery cables and clean the contacts on the battery and the bolts on the cables as best you can with some electrical cleaner and a wire brush. Tighten them back up and it may solve your problem.
