front suspension thump ****SOLVED!****

2004 SRX - AWD - 4.6l v8

Issue - thump in passenger side front suspension. the thump can be felt in the passenger side floorboard. when the car was inspected they told me I had a wheel bearing going bad. replaced the hub assembly on the passenger side but it did not fix the thump. it feels almost as if the thump is an unloading of pressure...like something is building up, then releases.

this issue does not happen only when hitting bumps in the road. curvy roads seem to cause the issue more than straight or bumpy roads. I can drive down the interstate for 30 minutes and not hear it. get onto a curvy road and it does it every 30 seconds.

sway bar end links or bushings?

other possible causes - shocks, lower control arm bushings, tie rods. I'd like to narrow it down rather than throw parts at it trying to figure out what the issue is.

TIA

Problem solved. after looking closer, there was a shiny spot on the LCA where the sway bar end link had been hitting. Replaced and all is good for the time being.
