Hello all.

I don't see this issue out there to often but I thought I would share this short video I made on what it took me to do the job. I say it that way because I think a pro would have had an easy job of it but I did not so I thought I would share.
If you are interested it will show what the suspension looks like when pulled apart.

Excellent video. Thank you for posting.

I suggest you keep an eye on the new bushings as I had the bushings fail in some cheap controls arms after only one year of use.

Suggestion.

Before you tighten the thru bolts [arm to frame] it is best to load the control arm with the weight of the car on the wheels. If you tighten the bolts with the control arm full down, the bushings will be constantly under a twist load. Will this make a difference in your case? I don't know.

I really like how to videos.

Thanks, Dan. Appreciate the share
Nice to know I'm not the only one who encounters problems during what appear to be fairly straightforward repairs.

that's a good point and I did not do that when I put it back together. i plan on taking it in for an alignment soon so I will ask them to make sure to do it then.

Hey Long, that was the biggest headache I have ever had working on one of my cars. The only other suspension work I have had to do was on an Audi I had for a while and that was a multilink setup that had much smaller joints that did not stick like this one did. I did learn a lot from the experience but I am not sure I want another learning experience like that. ;-)

Yeah--the older I get, the less I enjoy the "challenge" of car repairs.
