do a search for "shimmy".

Check your tire balancing (use a hunter road force balance system, if available, helped mine a lot) my eventual fix was new tires.
where would i find a hunter road force ballance how do i know what a shop uses is that the name of the machine ?

Google "hunter road force balance" and read up on the machine. The Hunter site has a search feature where you can locate the nearest Road Force Balance machine. For a walk-in job it's about $18 - $25 a tire. The machine is a GSP9700.

A regular balance may help, but that deal is likely not for the RFB. Just because a shop has a RFB doesnt mean they use it on all the tires.

If its a 19.99 special I'd almost guarantee its not a RFB. I had a slight shimmy in mine around 65-68 mph and it disappeared when I rotated tires....might be worth a shot.

yeah they said its 15 dollar per tire if im only having the shimmy in the front then i just need to get the front two tires with the RFB and then i can get the other two ballance for like what ever the cheaper one is or will this not be a good idea ?

That would work fine until it came time to rotate your tires (if you do that).

And then you may or may not see a return of shake related issues.

I have been able to eliminate any front end shaking issues by cleaning all contact surfaces from the hub to rotor to wheel and using a torque wrench on the lug nuts.

An out of round tire or a tire with broken belts can also cause front end shakes.

A long list of issues can be masked by a RFB.
