I recently had a front end noise coming from the right front. It would make a "thunk" sound when turning at slow speeds. I took the right front wheel off and sprayed TriFlow (aerosol teflon lube) on the top of the strut where it turns under the fender and at the bottom of the spring where it seats in the strut assembly. It cured my noise. Might want to try this before making expensive repairs like I was about to do.

Actually I am familliar with that product through my breif Kart racing career. It works quite well. My company of who I am responsible for the maintenance department, uses it on a regular basis. We get it from McMaster Carr.

Not that this is related but it may be. I had rattleing in the front of my SLS. I had the tie rod ends replaced and the car is now silent.
