I've had sterling service from my Brougham since the day I bought it in October '07. It's only needed a fuel pump and rear half exhaust since then. Got the rear brakes done during the winter and now the fronts need doing. The radiator also sprung a leak high up on the seam to the core under the filler cap area. No biggie, I can keep using her with a few pints top-up every other day. Also, the tires are now done, so it was time for some work.

She's in the shop at the place I bought her from. He's found me a killer deal on 4 new tires and a good deal on a radiator. It'll be a brand new aluminium cored job that's supposed to be better at doing the job. Ok, it won't look OE, but I'm using the car, not trying to keep it matching numbers perfect. The front brakes are looking less dire than I had believed they might be so all the costs are balancing out good.

Spoke with him on the phone this evening and he asked if the car gets lots of attention. I told him it gets more than any car I've ever owned. Given that I used to drive Street Rods (as daily drivers) I think that says a lot about a Cadillac's charisma. He reckons he could have sold the car several times today! He told them they had their chance back in 2007. People were totally enthusing about it apparently.....and the love my licence plate.:cool2:

That is one prime looking ride! When a Cadillac luxury ride really looked like a Cadillac.

Why thank you sir! I picked her up yesterday after he finished the brakes. Now she stops smooth again......wonderful!
He told me that he could have sold the car 3 times again yesterday. At one point the car was on the lift with the garage door open and some guys pulled a U-turn and came back to see if it was for sale.
Taking her back midweek to get the tires on and the radiator fixed. Decided to get him to do the serpentine belt too while he has the radiator out of the way. Makes his job easier and it's good preventive maintenance.

Good lord I love your car. Truly the best "old school" design Cadillac ever came out with.

I really like the color, but I'm a bit biased though. Here's my 91, but I really need some better pics that show its blue, not black.

I love your car too Aron9000. You need bright light to bring out the blue because it's so dark.
Just dropped my car off at the shop tonight. She exits tomorrow afternoon with 4 new Cooper Hercules tires and a new radiator and serpentine belt.

Trying to keep it up to standard :cool2:

Took a snap of the new tires. 225-75-15 Hercules, made by Cooper. They handle and ride beautifully. On the highway she just glides now.
