Congrats, Ranger! Glad to hear you found a good one... Gee, all that TLC on your '97 and now you're going to let 'er go? Keep that '02 away from my house or my '96 will start gettin' worried... :thumbsup:Ranger said:Just got home a few hours ago. Left Canton at 1030 and got home at 1900. It was about 450 miles and was a pleasure to drive. The car looks like it just rolled of the show room floor. Speed limits in Ohio are infact rather slow (60 mph). I did kick her up to 90 once but not sure if I was in Ohio or Indiana. I averaged 31+ mpg til I got into Meriville Indiana and the southern Chicago suburbs. The only problems I found was a vibration at about 65 mph and the infamous Seville trunk leak. She is going to the dealer tomorrow to have both taken care of. Every time I buy a new Caddy I swear they cannot get any better, then I replace it and am proven wrong. WOW, what a car!
She is certified so I have 6/100K. It will expire on 02/28/08, long before 100K.Eldyfig said:Sounds good...2002 with only 13k. What kind of warranty? You have a dealer that you trust?
Great car and I like the color choice as well. But, you should always close your mirrors when you park lol. Luckily, she was there to see it though. BTW, does your SLS have fog lamps, a body-colored grille, and rectangular exhuast tips like 1998-2002 STSs have? I know that some '02 SLSs came with the aforemetioned standard features that make them look like STSs.Ranger said:She is certified so I have 6/100K. It will expire on 02/28/08, long before 100K.
The dealer near me is Gary Lang Cadillac, McHenry Ill. and have been pretty good when ever I have needed them. They have yet to give me any reason not to trust them. They just called and said they are replacing the trunk seal (what a shock) but the vibration is alignment and tire cupping and not covered so I have to call the Ohio dealer to find out if it was aligned and then rotate the tires when I get it back.
While I was talking to the service writer some kid walks between me an the car with a two wheeled dolly and hits the passenger side mirror. I just looked at him with a look that could have killed him and he said "sorry". When I looked closer there was a scratch on it so I told the service writer, "you can fix this too". It looks like it can be buffed out. Good thing she was there to see it happen.
Thks alot Rngr, now u mad m drol all ovr th kybord an shrtd it out! u o me 1 kybord dud!Ranger said:Actually, the car wasn't even in the lot at the time. It was right infront of the service desk where you pull in.
Yes to all of the above, fog lamps, body color monochromatic grill & rectangular exhaust tips. Plus wood trim package (wheel & shifter), chrome wheels and some body trim package that I am not familiar with.
