Just a quick long term test result. I have 25K miles on the Avon M550 A/S's and am now starting to hear the dreaded road noise. The standard tires come with 9/32nds of tread, I have 6/32nds left so I guess Im about half way into the tire life. I wont bore you with the performance vs. F1s as that isnt what I bought them for, I needed all season tires that would work in the Cleveland snows (last year was the worst snowfall recorded in over 120 years!) and the Avons kept me glued to the road. So all in all, expect good life, but be warned that around 15-20K miles, youll hear the road a bit more.

Take care! :)

Thanks, as I'm close to putting mine on though I won't be anywhere near 15-20k for a while yet; when I get there, I'll be listening.

I think I have had mine on for almost 5,000 miles and they are fine. Since they wear so well I might need to work them over a bit more.
As I recall, they came with 11/32. I should rotate them in the next month before we start getting snow. I'm glad to hear they will last me through my lease.
