I'm trying to run down the part number for the CD magazine for the 6 disc changer in the console. I ordered what I thought was the right one, but it doesn't work.

If you have a moment, could you look at your magazine and give me the part number?

Also, does anyone know the GCWR of the 99 Escalade? I can't find it in the onwer's manual anywhere. GCWR, not GVWR (combined rating)

Thanks in advance

On my changer it tells the type of magazine you should use on a sticker......

www.crutchfield.com should be able to tell you which one you need........

Also, for weights, you can go to www.autotrader.com and use their USED CAR RESEARCH to find the weights......

There is no sticker on my changer, hence my question to others. Crutchfield and other stereo shops have been unhelpful. I have already scoured the net looking for the information. If anyone that owns a 99 Escalade would give me the part number from their cd magazine, it would greatly help.

The weights at autotrader.com are the same as on the side of my door. Maybe the GCWR is nothing more than the GVWR + towing capacity. I don't really know.

Thanks for your reply anyways :)
