Just got my car back from Treadstone Performance in Miami. Had a model TR8 fmic installed for increased intake cooling. Very nice install and great people, especially Victor, to work with. Pulled a code when I first got it back, PO2227.
Was due to less pressure loss and increased flow. Cleared it and it hasn't returned. Will datalog and send results to V-Tuner for his perusal and recommendations.
I-C is 3.5"x7.9"x22" and fits nicely after stock I-C removed.

I wouldn't spend much time on the dyno to find the effectiveness of an intercooler, that's something that shows its merit under real world driving conditions.

If it removed some restriction, you may see some nominal gains on the dyno, but it won't represent the benefit of better cooling if indeed it does offer an improvement (which I am sure it will).

Thanks

I just did my intercooler as well. However it appears we went about it a little different. However the results feel awesome.

Please send a pic of the pipe made going to the throttle body. with the secondary IAT.

My core size is 3" x 24" x 12" and mine fit in there. However I did not have to remove the stock intercooler. All I did was cap off both ends. Actually attempted to remove on the first time But it was a pain and the lift wasn't available so we left it and worked around it.

One thing I liked about mine was I still used all the plastics. Especially the one that funnels the air on the bottom.

Being in S FL was the main reason for this project. Hopefully this should keep the IAT's lower and no timing pulled.

More details PLEASE!! What are the overall dimensions of the IC, inlet/outlet size, any cutting/relocating involved(besides intake tubing)???..... I just happen to have a new Blitz Bar/Plate IC sitting here off my son's 240sx. Core measures 3 x 24 x 10 and overall width(inlet to outlet) is 31 1/2" that I think will work based on this recent post...... My son doesn't know that he will be giving me a great deal on his IC if it will work -- not yet anyways!

How much did this set you back? I am in Broward so this might be worth the drive. :)
