Tough swap; good points and bad points. I've thought about it along the way; glad I stayed with the CTS-V.

Your not the first one I've heard say that. Hope you love the new found luxury!

I'd probably do it if I could rationalize the price difference.

The only real downside would be quieter exhaust, the lack of being able to say "Corvette engine" (which still amazes people") and not being able to mod as much (which actually might be a good thing).

Upsides are numerous- Comfort, tech toys, gas mileage, ride quality, interior, trunk space and no need to shift in tight traffic. Every time we get an STS-V on the lot I ponder it......nice car.

I'm still lurking.

I too, was going to order a STS-V. My CTS-V got the famous clunk. So I brought it to my new Caddy dealer. My old one in New Orleans closed shortly after Katrina. Well, they told me nothing was wrong . I had them check to see if I could order a 2008 STS-V. And they said that no orders where being taken at that time :rant2:. So I drove to the Audi dealer and bought an S6. Not an inch of regret.. Just as fast as the CTS-V but with all wheel drive and a auto tranny.

Good Luck with your dealer..

I was thinking of trading my Daewoo in on a STS V. Your post convinced me to change my mind.
Oh Sesame Street, your posts are so random and out of place. You never cease to amaze me! I haven't seen anyone post as much on all three V-Series forums and not have a V. :histeric:

i had a 06 sts-v and last month traded for a 07 cts-v. both are excellent cars. my car before sts-v was a 6 speed manual...guess i missed the manual shift/lighter/way less luxury car after all.
